obviously president assad has been resupplied by iran and russia. rebels being supplied by saudi arabia, qatar and also turkey so that both side here have little interest in a peace deal. more interestingly both sides, the saudis and the iranians, have an interest in trying to see this go on as long as possible and an interest seeing their side win inside syria. they're willing, more than happy in fact, to supply money and weapons as long as the syrians are willing to continue to keep killing...
